I'm trying to do the Carbon Knock on Acceleration TSB, and I'm not quite sure what I'm looking at. I think that what they are reffering to as the "Canister" is the charcoal canister (correct me if I'm wrong). If I read the vaccum diagram right, it should be circled in yellow. The red arrow is the hose I need to remove for the engine to ingest the PM-3. The blue arrow points towards the line leading back down into the frame rails, which should lead back to the gas tank (?). So if everything I said above is right, do I need to remove the red hose from the canister and just ingest it from there or do I have to remove it from the intake and attach a separate, flexible hose to ingest the PM-3?

The EVAP canister is marked yellow. Most of the ingestion procedures I have seen use the brake vacuum line which is the larger rubber line the red arrow is almost on top of, it is U shaped in your picture and goes to the brake booster.

So, disconnect the vacuum line from the brake booster side to ingest the PM-3?
