Making your IFS dana 35 in to a straight axel !!!

Jeep dana 30 is stronger ring and pinion then a Ford dana 35 TTB? LOL

I think you are thinking of the old dana 28 TTB, the D35ttb is MUCH stronger

the dana 30 can be built to be as strong as a stock D44 with a bunch of $$$

the Dana 30 can also work well under the front of an Explorer/Ranger or BII as long as you dont plan to run over 33" tires and you are very nice to it... most guys I have seen who have gone dana 30 SAS have eventually ripped it out and gone dana 44 or 60 instead........

Jeep is a joke when it comes to axles, seriously a 200 HP straight six with a dana 35 rear axle? OR how about the 4 door grand Cherokee with a 318 and a dana 35 rear axle? those were fun!!! At least FORD never skimped when it came to axles... at least until the 8.8 IRS fiasco LOL

How can you even type that last statement into the very same post that also contains a mention
of the Dana28?? :p: :hammer:    :D

I wouldn`t do the welding and such to the D35 because it sound like problems right from jump, a sas would be the way to go.

I think it all comes down to driving styles, most things that happen are predictable depending on your driving style i have a 88 ranger and my sole role was to go tow everyone out when they broke or got their jeeps, dakotas etc stuck. Now I was just running 33 inch MT Baja MTZ`s posi rear and an open D28 front end. The jeeps were the norm with 33`s and such but the drivers thought that they had the best rigs in the world and also though they were bulletproof, my reply was standard; they are not idiot proof. these things take time to sink into thick skulls, but after me hauling them out of the very same places that broke their rigs with my Ranger and me not breaking they all said it was the same thing I was lucky i made it out to get them.
