I just ordered me an Manik Brushguard today, and can't wait til it's shipped!! :D :D
Does anyone else that has a Manik on there X like? Does it have places to install off-road driving lights?

They have mounts for 2 off road lights

i loved the manik b/g that i had on my '95. i was severely disappointed that i couldn't make it work on my '00 without some serious trimming. it has found a good home on the front of liquidx9's limited, though. oh, yeah i had a pair of piaa 520's mounted on mine. good luck, i know you will enjoy the new, rugged look of your x!

here's mine!

if your going to off-road with the brush guard on it you might have to take the lower bar off and replace it with a stronger one. if ya hit something it'll bend really easy with the one that comes on it. I've been there done that and almost had to buy a new brush guard. i bent it back out and it came back out straight. pics below on what i'm talking about.

nice digger! I like....too bad about that bend in your guard, but looks like you should be able to fix her up. Good job on the X. Maybe one day mine will be up there too. :D :D ;)

i did fix it! it is so strong now! i could probolly pull with it but i won't try. i love the look of the manik ones! enjoy yours!

Thanks :) btw what lights do you guys recomend?

Can't go wrong with Hella's or PIAA's. Mine are so bright.

I have hella 1000's on mine

well got my brushguard on tonight....I love it :D I'll take some pic's tomorrow and post them. Now I just need some lights.

Digger196 - how did you replace that bar, is it bolted or welded on??

eXplorerchic - congrats on the purchase and install, I would recomend some HELLA's (500's are bright and rellativly inexpensive) I was going to buy a westin safari bar but after I have seen some pics of these I think that I have just changed my mind, Im assuming that it bolts on??? Also, if you don't mind how much did you guys pay for them???? Thanks:)

it is welded on.

cool...i'll have to check into some HELLA'S. About the brushguard, mine is just bolted on. Was a really easy install...stong and looks great! I paid $430 shipped to the door for mine.

the brush guard isn't as strong as you think! i'm beaffing mine up with 1/2 steel square tubing!

I've got some Hella 500's mounted on my Manik. I left the plastic pieces on the guard, an atmept to reduce shock. However the lights tend to vibrate on rough terain. Does anyone have them bolted straight on to the metal? Is it better?

what plastic piece? mine are straight through the metal and bolted super tight! the tighter the better and less likly to get stolen!

Mine had what can only be called plastic plugs in the holes... I drilled through them, but I think I'll remove them and go straight to the metal.
