manual hub question...

I have manual hubs on my 94 explorer, One took a **** so only the driver side was actially locking in. Would that make it to ware my 4x4 wont work at all or would I just have 3x4? thank you.

With an open diff in the front, one bad hub = no 4wd. The axle with the bad hub gets all the power and nothing goes to the side with the good hub.

yup, every one was right, thank you. As it turned out the hub wasnt bad but when we put the axle back in after we changed the u-joint we put it in too far not alowing the hub to fit into the gear. 4x4 works now!
