Do they make a rear no-slip locker that can be manually engaged-disengaged, besides the air lockers? i was thinking about getting a rear locker is the limited slip ones strong and durable enough? I do 70% street and 30% off road. I want the power of a no-slip locker.

The other selectables available for the 8.8 other than the ARB are currently the Detriot and Eaton electrics. They function as LSs when disengaged, and just require power to activate. They are pricey though at $800-900.

I don't know if you've ever heard of OX locker. That's a cable actuated locker. They don't have one for the 8.8 but it's supposed to be in development.

If you really do that much wheeling you're gonna want a locker and not just an LS. I have an Eaton LS which is a high quality unit that grips like crazy, but there is no substitute for a good locker.

would i be better off with a eaton limited slip, i think i read that you have one, how well does it work? Where is the cheapest place to get them? If i had one tire burried in the mud would the other tire hold up or would the stuck tire still spin?

I love my Eaton LS. It has never unlocked on me when I've needed it, it's just better to know that your locker is always gonna lock.

I got mine from West Coast Differentials, differentials.com . I think Randy's Ring and Pinion also has them. They're usually around $350 I believe.

The Eaton LS will get you out of most situations that a locker can, but again, there is no substitute for a true locker.
