There are no commercial solutions I know of, I remember somebody working on this awhile ago, using a speedo cable or something of that nature. I forget if they were successful or not, hopefully somebody will come up with a link for it.

IMO, I think it's easier to just fix the electronic shift, most of the time it's just the shift motor, and you get to keep your shift-on-the-fly 4x4

Find a manual transfercase. Manual 1354 is a direct swap, manual 1350 will also work but you'll need the front driveshaft that goes with it and it will need to be shortened 1", manual 1350s can be commonly had for $50, manual 1354s will run $200+ easily if the person knows what they have.

And also depending on what year 1350 you will have to swap out the rear output and use the bolts that came with it as the 1354 bolts are different threads.

It is fairly easy to convert an electronic shift t-case to manual. I made one setup using a part of the t-case motor (the part that bolts to the case and shifts the t-case) which I controlled with a flexible drill shaft that extended up through a hole into the center console.

It did OK, but I had problems with the threads backing out on the flexible drive.

If I were to do it over, I'd just get a nice selection of 1/4" drive socket wrench extensions and swivels and make a mini drive shaft. It would work both directions all the time.

Perhaps it is time for a cottage industry!

Oh, the internals of the electronic and manual shifted t-cases are identical except for the rear cover, which has the different shift mechanism attached. No extra strength in the manual shifted model, so if you can figure out how to make an electronic one shift manually, you are not behind the other more expensive model in strength.
