so i just got a new master cylinder, and as I was installing it, I saw the Haynes manual mentions a 'cruise' switch on the master cylinder of some models. Is this for the cruise control to slow you down when you are going too fast? If so, can I just get a new cruise computer and a new MAster Cylinder(read as return my new one saying its the wrong part) hook it up, and have my cruise slow my car when going down hills?

The switch is there to tell the cruise to disengage when you put your foot on the brake. On some models it is linked to the switch on the pedal.

ahh, darn. i know some cars will keep a constant speed regarless of hills or whatever - thought i could get this in my car.
