Another DSM'er has bought an EX nice to see. That car looks familar. Here is my old DSM and my old ranger in the background.:dsm(pic kinda big)

1G swap buschur stage 2 head and block, clipped and ported big16G, and many other mods. But I sold mine because it was nickle and dime'n me to death something was always breaking on that car, probably didn't help the way I drove it either.

Actually its not running lean. That A/F guage cycles back and forth (sorta like night rider), until you step on the gas. This is due to the o2 sensor constantly adjusting the a/f mixture. Once you romp on the gas the computer no longer uses the o2 sensor but instead relys on a pre-programmed a/f map. Its at this point the guage shows the correct a/f mixture. Mine was usually 2-3 bars from total right. This is normal for DSM's. We run rather rich. As far as manifold temp, that is a good temp while idling.

Thats EXACTLY why i sold mine. It never left me stranded, and i RARELY lost a challenge, but the little things it needed here and there got quite hard on the wallet. I miss it tho. Im seriously thinking about getting another 1g. Im single again, and making a little more $$. :)

I will never have another after crankwalk and all the money to I stuck in it to rebuild the car. I am going to a mustang Like I should have in the first place.

The 1 G crank doesnt walk. Many of the more hard core swap out to the 1g short block because of this.
heh, i didnt think of that with the o2 sensor, not a fan of those gauges unless running crazy boost, then you probably have standalone anyway

Rookie, no offense but sometimes it seems like you're just making stuff up to seem smart in the conversation  I suggest sometimes you do a few minutes of research before posting. Just a friendly suggestion, happy new year!

rookie here is the skinny on crankwalk all 7 bolt 4g63 can crankwalk even the the 1G 7 bolt. Most 2g guys do the 6 bolt swap to sovle the problem, not to be "hardcore" just to solve the problem. A 6 bolt swap is a pain, and I would never do one again. Also with the turbo you will see higher egt temps that is normal.

The part about the 1g block was told to me by a diehartd dsm guy, everyone however can be wrong. As to making stuff up, not taken personal, i dont word things well. But I would like to know what you thought was made up.

Didnt you have a supra 410fortune? that your rents bought you when you were a teen??
