I know you do, but I'll take cold weather to pollution anyday. Do you know that when my brother, my little girl and I got back from Vermont after the holidays, we got all stuffed up, which didn't happen while we we there......nice clean mountain air We felt the difference when we got back into the city

Ok have we come up w/a date for the pre spring meet yet? Have we decided on a mutual, equal meeting place? Who has decided to meet up before spring? My OCD is kicking in on this!!! Need plans & need them soon so I can book my schedule.

sorry to hear of you furnace issues.. Was it the furnace or hot watter heater? Seams strange for a furnace to puke water unless the pressure relieve stuck open...

I have Natural Gas, Its 100,000 BTU Heat Maker Plus. Which isnt made anymore and parts are not availible. The company went out of buisness. I have Hot Water on demand. So my furnance kicks on to warm the water and sends it up the pipes. The small tank inside burst.

Nothing at all. I ahve baseboard water heat. So i ahve 2 space heaters in the condo right now. My girlfriend is sleeping at her parents. I am holding the fort down. So iam not going to work tomorrow.

Dan, I'm sure you aren't the only conservative minded person in the whole state of Vermont. Me, my family considers me liberal, because I don't totally believe in what they do, like the death penalty for example, I don't believe in it, and they do. I also don't believe in abortion either, since I see both as taking life, so it kind of puts me more centrist than either conservative or liberal, I'm liberal in some things but conservative in others.......guess that makes me moderate

As far as the God's country comment, it had nothing to do with the people who live there, but the absolute beauty of your state, so much of it is forested and unspoiled, which is beautiful to a city girl who doesn't see to much of it. You come down to Connecticut, and you will not find as much forested land there, Connecticut is the third smallest state with a population well over 3 million, and all they do is build on top of each other. I take this route home from work that had lots of forest, but it had since been torn down for houses

I'll take Vermont over Connecticut anyday.

Sorry to hear bout your financial problems right now Matt. Maybe you can ride with someone? It'll save ya some $ or maybe the person will be nice & not charge you gas $ at all. So any dates in mind people for the early meet?

Usually, whoever starts the thread, creates the dates and whats on the table for events. Then everyone will chim in and say if they can make it. Like last years cape trip. Myself & Issac did alot of planning for it, on dates and etc.

I'm not gonna set a date. I believe that it should be a group to set the date. We as individuals know what we can & can't do & when. We've all stated we could do weekends, but noone has said where is a good halfway point to meet up & who is really down for this. No true tally, then no date will be set. I do believe a midway point is somewhere in Mass, but people aren't saying anything cause we all got side tracked with the trip to Maine. I'm open for anything hence I have sat back & let people tell me what their schedules are like. I have all the free time in the world, but most people are chained to a desk. Those are the people that are better off making the dates etc.

Guess what, if no one says a date, then nothing happens. If you say when you can make it on a certain date, others will say if they can make it. It makes perfect sense. Then they can make suggestons as to when they are free.

Now the way i see it Jen has gone above and beyond and proposed a meet... Kudos to her... she has sat back and waiting for the rest of us lazy @$$es (me included) to come up with dates and times... Unfortunately there are lots of dates and places proposed, with the real deal killer being the place...
The problem is there is a huge drive (3hr+) for the VT guys as well as for Ike and me to reach any dest in Southern Vt... Kinda a huge drive for a meet. In my mind 2hrs or less driving would be ok... anything above that and I'm gonna need to room....

Besides the shops, there are movie cinemas including an imax, plus a Dave & Buster's. Sorry, but I DON'T know which weekends I'll be free 3 months from now.

Dan suggested Southern VT. I will go anywhere. Funds are tight. So If i go down to Mass. I will need a place to stay. I just want somone to throw a date out there, and we all can try to work around it. If those dates arnt good, then maybe the weekend after. How about the First Weekend of March?

That was my next suggestion if people could'nt figure out something. My thing is I don't wanna be stuck somewhere with people I really don't know (camping meet) in a confined space. I want our big meet to be cordial. Get my drift folks?
