Mesh mixed with billet???

i have a different thread on this, but what i have is a hood scoop that i want to put about 2 bars of billet in the small opening of to match my main grille and bumper billets. the problem is finding a cheap billet to cut up. i don't want to spend $50 for something i'm just going to cut 2 little pieces off of.

so my Q is, do you think if i put mesh(which is cheap) in the little opening it would look ok considering my other billet grilles? i hate caring about something so insignificant, but i can't help it

plus $15 shipping. thats still $40, about $30 more than what i can get mesh for at a home depot or for even $15 shipped on ebay. thanks alot though.

I was going to say please do not do the mesh. Stick with the bars if that is what you have everywhere else. It is worth the money to keep the continuity.
