Message Center

Hello all,

Does anybody know if you can add the optional message center? I mean, is the wiring standard on the Explorer (so it just have to be pluged in)?

I took my console apart and I have a open mulit-function plug (I think that's what it's called) underneath it.

I was wondering if it will go into the message center and it would be functional then.

Anybody ever "played" with it?

There's a thread about it somewhere here...

It's not just a plug-in thing since your Ex most likely doesn't have the wiring harness. You'll have to run a few wires from the PCM and from behind the dash. Not too hard, but takes some electrical know how.

I did some searching, with the keyword "message center", but never ran across this one. I saw it's in another forum, I only searched in the "Stock Explorer" forums.

I was just curious. I'm not gonna run any additional wires. If it had been a simple swap, then fine.

Anyway, it was worth the question, at least now I know.
