Brought the Explorer in this morning and just picked it up an hour ago. The Tech said they "reprogrammed" MFT. I asked if that meant they did a reset and he said no they actually reinstalled the same software, they hoped there was just a module last time that did not install properly..I had the install done by Ford when 2.11 first came out. He also said there is no guarantee this will not happen again...which makes me believe they could be wrong about it not installing correctly the first time.
I asked what the next step would be and he said they were waiting for Ford to come up with a solution but in the meantime this is all they can do, there are LOTS of people with problems and complaints. He has heard January but that is not written in stone. All I can say is it must be frustrating for them to listen to the complaints from customers and not be able to help and not be able to get an answer from Ford either, I don't get that.
Anyway, for now all is well again.
I did find the last few days that that the system did not lock up if I shut the radio off before I shut off the car......go figure.
