Hey Guys,

I am looking for some help on putting a 3" Body lift on my truck this Saturday, the 17th. I need to get it done by like 5pm. The truck is my daily driver and we have a birthday party to go to that night. If I don't get it done, my wife will kill me. Also I have to work Sunday morning so that is another motivating factor. I would like to get this done ASAP since the kit has been staring me in the face every morning for the last few weeks. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Wives just don't understand that stuff doesn't always go as planned. Better get that stuff done! ;)

No they don't. However, I don't seen to know that either. Theses little "it's only 4 bolts and 2 shackles, it won't take long" adventures seem to be what gets me in trouble. When working on suspension it seems Michigan winters to take their toll on all things metal.

Is there anyone who can help me out? I was looking at this tonight and I am not sure if I feel confident doing this myself. All I keep thinking is i'll be stuck if I don't get it done in one day, also i have no impact and no torch, which is apparently what everyone uses to make it easy. I really wanna get this on. The shop were I bought my tires from is willing to give me what I paid back and apply it to some MTs, but I need to get it lifted so they can put the tires on ASAP, before they decide not to on this deal.

trying to do this tommorrow, does anyone know if i can leave the rear bumper on while doing the lift?? I will just deal with the gap for a little while.

I think '97V8 took a whole weekend+ to do his with help. Good luck!

im thinking you can as long as you drop the spare.

You can leave both bumpers on while doing the lift. Go ahead and spray all the bolts down with PB blaster.

are you sure? I am not sure if I can leave the front on since the 01-03 sports have the "blended" bumper.

Oh, well maybe not then. I don't even really know what a blended bumper is.

Did you get this done yet?

Where are you in Michigan?

If you're close to me, I might be able to help next week. This weekend is already full.
I also have a portable 110V air compressor and tools.

I am trying to do it right now!!! I have all the bolts out except the two behind the rear seats, the mounts keep spinning and I can't get them out. I also have to work at 4pm!!!! Yeah, your pretty closed to me, I live in Hartland.

Bummer. I don't have any free time at all this weekend. I just got home from work a few minutes ago and my wife and I are going out as soon as she gets home. Sorry man. Good luck.

actually it took 11 hours. :D

I have one bolt left to get out and 3 blocks to put up on the driver's. Then I should be done.
