So, a little over a week ago, I registered on flmowner.com because sync support told me to register that way because of it not recognizing my vin.

So when I register, it automatically had my vin, and showed 0 miles on it.

I sent a message to Mike D on FB regarding the v2.6 and vin issue (march 29th).

He wrote me back stating to give it till next week and it should show correctly as 2.7. So every few days, being impatient, I keep checking. On March 31st, I logged into flmowner and my mileage is now showing 378 miles. So I wrote Mike on 3/31 inquiring about how it is showing mileage when it showed 0 a few days prior.

4/1 - Mike writes back asking if I can click on the "update" option and change it. So I log in and my mileage now shows 432.

4/2 - I decide to log in today just to see what it says and it now shows 486 miles.

Now my vehicle is "awaiting shipment" which has been verified by Seni as well as another employee from blueovalnews.

So, either something is screwed up with flm or my vehicle is being driven.. Now I may be overreacting.. but why would mileage increase each day when it is at the plant?? I'm not putting in the mileage manually so what the hell?? lol

A little part of me is freaking out about this!!

Waiting for a response from Mike D.

I saw something similar on Friday while checking my status. My mileage was almost 400 and I was thinking, WT@! What have they been doing with my X.

Then I figured out what it was....

When you first set-up your profile, you have to enter how many miles you drive a year. They then convert this to miles per day, and I believe, they are just adding that to the "mileage" each day. They use this, and your driving habits (that you enter) to suggest when maintenance should be performed.

It looks like you can reset and change your mileage, so once you take delivery of your X, you should be able to set it wherever you want, but it's not going to be very accurate unless your estimated miles driven is right on.

The same thing happened to me. I was able to reset the mileage since I don't as yet have my car. Just be sure you reset to at least 1 mile. When I tried to reset to zero, I got an error message.

You are exactly right it's adding mileage on the website regardless if the Ex is being driven. Mine did the same thing. It's not actually reading the Ex odometer.

Can you get VHR emails while it sits at the Assembly Plant or do you need to have your cell-phone in the vehicle to send the data?

I thought it needed the cell-phone as it's not like OnStar with a stand alone phone built in.

Lol, thanks for sharing, makes me feel much better

I believe that it is calculating this milage based on your input of what your monthly/yearly average is. You put in this value when you registered.

god wouldnt that just be like a kick to the junk.... i just wish i had a solid deliver date. no ETA - and no word from FORD. seeing people order theirs same week build week as us getting theirs - and nothing.... dealers now telling me anything to keep me calm.

i told em i needed an answer by friday...so looks like ill show up monday and if i dont leave with a firm date - i may have to cancel my order.

all could be avoided FORD with a little information to your CONSUMERS FORD. but you leave us in the dark - with no explanation - what do you expect us to do? i cannot wait forever without a firm ETA.

If they are waiting for a supplier to send parts and the supplier isn't delivering, they can't give you a firm ETA.
