Just a little note for those with slushboxes. I learned this weekend at Attica that when you get real close to vertical on a climb, your transmission fluid will all run to the back of the case and uncover the pickup hole in the filter. When it happens the tranny stops pulling instantly. It's quite a suprise. no forward or reverse.

A clue - right before the tranny gives up, the washer fluid starts to gravity feed out through the holes and runs off the sides of the windshield, not the bottom. Also the power steering reservoir wants to dump its contents out.

Lesson - always be ready with the brakes and carry a bottle of power steering fluid, or don't go vertical.

It was exciting.
