Recently just got my 2016 explorer limited back with a waterpump replacement along with the timing chain and etc.

After getting it back I've noticed sputtering when going at a steady speed and even more noticeable when giving it gas when going up a hill.

Today when going up a hill while sputtering the check engine light start flashing. I pulled over stopped the vehicle. The flashing stopped and I turned off the vehicle. I took it to my local auto store and there was no code or stored codes.

Any ideas on the possible problem?

I wonder if it could be due to the timing chain not being installed properly. :dunno:
Have you taken it back to have it checked?

Thank you Peterk9. No I haven't, I just hate to be that guy that comes back and say something is wrong. I will stop back tomorrow. Thank you for your response.

I'm not that advanced on vehicles, do you mind explaining how an improperly installed timing can this issue? Thank you once again.
