I am having an issue w/my 00 explorer 5.0. I had a bad cam snychro so I replaced it and at the time didnt have the tool but put it back exactly and had a miss fire naturally. I did get the new synchro w/sensor and tool put it in at tdc and had the miss w/the back fires in the cats because the fuel wasnt burning in the cylinder. I took the sensor off put it at tdc and seen that the synchro was facing the rear. I pulled it out and again placed it in the way it was supposed to be w/the tool and ran it still had the miss and the back fire. I pulled the synchro out placed the eng at 10 degrees btc and put the synchro in and again the same thing. missing and backfiring then checked where it was at when brought back up to 10btc and the synchro was facing aft again pulled it out and put it again in w/the tool still have the miss and back fire. What gives here I am almost at a loss.......
