Missing at High RPM

I have a 01 Sport and when I rev it up to high RPM I get a miss. I changed the spark Plugs and it made no difference. Any ideas?

Is it a miss or your rev-limiter kicking in? How high are the RPM's?

Actually you may be on to something there. I only get 3000 rpm. Is that normal? I have never noticed this before.

What kind of plugs did you use? Fords are pretty picky with liking only motorcraft plugs (some people say autolite is also okay). Also, what shape are the spark plug wires in? Any cel codes?

No CEL. I just installed Champions. There was autolite installed prior. I Had the same problem before I changed the plugs. I was kinda thinking wires. What is the rev limiter and how does it work?


When I drove home from work today I got 4500 RPM.
