I have a battery light that will come on when the engine is above 2800 rpm and under a load. Other than that it seems to run well. Any ideas on what would be happening.

Thanks,

The brushes on the regulator get worn and skip at higher rpm and cause the light to come on. Replacing the alternator will fix the problem.

Thats correct. You could just replace the regulator, it comes with the brushes. But, my luck would be in a couple of weeks the alternator would die... It would save you some hassle to just replace the whole thing
