Hey guys. I've been missing my keyless entry clicker forever now. I'm fed up and want to buy another now, just wondering if you know of any dealerships or websites that have it for cheaper price. Thanks

I believe any keyless entry will work you just have to program it for your vehicle.

thanks guys. if i buy a generic that i need to program, is it something i can do myself or something the ford dealer will have to take care of?

That's something the dealer will have to do.

Funny, because it says that the remote comes with instructions to program it. When I got mine, I programmed it by myself (although it is an older explorer) The remotes look the same, so I think they should also program the same. What year sport trac do you have?

You're probably right, My ex wife lost her remote and she said the dealer had to program it so I was just going off her experiance....looking at a couple sites I see that you CAN do it yourself.

you can program it yourself there is a sequence you have to follow I'll see if I can find it.

This is what I found:
1) Turn key from OFF to ON eight times within 10 seconds ending
in the ON position.
2) After doors lock then unlock, press any button on the
remote being programmed.
3) The doors should lock/unlock to confirm programming.
4) Turn key to OFF and door locks should cycle one last time.

You can program up to four remotes this way, but they must
all be done at the same time (repeat step 2 for each).

Exactly what I did. Works perfect.
