Missing lighted vanity mirror

As I was proudly pointing out to my wife how my beaut-ee-ful new '01 Sport X was JUST like my '97 Sport but only better (premium sound, upgraded wheels, etc), she asked me

"Where's my lighted mirror on my sun visor?"

Well I'll be damned if there's nothing but an el-cheapo stick-on mirror instead of the cool little flip-down lighted mirror like on the old '97. And on the driver's side, there's no mirror at all. For that matter, there's not the second, smaller sun visor behind the driver's side visor that was on my '97.

I looked around the 'net for a replacement mirror or visor w/integrated mirror, but with no luck. Does anyone have a source for this part, either OEM or aftermarket, so my wife will stop staring at me as we drive?

maybe it became a safety issue and was removed....

A safety issue? On the passenger side? Her mouth is a MUCH bigger safety issue...

plenty of people have been sued for much smaller things.... ford may have done it preventatively to prevent against stupidity.......

like the lady that spilled coffee in her lap and got $millions from mcdonalds: there are warnings on the drive thru and on the cup that say: "coffee and hot chocolate are served very hot!"

Ford has been hurting lately. They think that saving a few cents on each vehicle will actually help in the long run.
