Hi all, I'm in the process of changing all 4 strut/shocks. I just got started on the front, and noticed something possibly urgent??
The top of my sway bar link that connects to stabilizer bar on the front driver side is MISSING!! I have no idea how long i've been driving like this, and haven't noticed anything too concerning, other than a quite hum/buzz when cornering left.
The parts are pretty cheap and it looks like an easy fix. But my question is should I not drive until I get this done? Like I said i may have already been driving without it for weeks/months. Either way it's a definite priority, but will it be alright to drive low miles until I fix it?
Thanks in advance

I bought sway bar links at NAPA, not for Explorers, but I think you should be able to get one there.

Thanks, i haven't checked prices but might go OEM at the dealership, unless it's outrageous which is possible. Any idea how bad it is to drive without?

Thanks! Sorry didn't even think to look for a thread here, just kind of panicked.
So not a huge deal! phew! Thanks again

One extra note, do not over tighten or crush the sway bar link "bushings" by over tightening the nut. If you go with the Moog brand which I did, they come with a small photo of how the bushings should look when the nut is torqued properly (slightly mushroomed). Go by the photo. If you crush them too much, they'll crack and fall out in a short period of time and you will need new ones again.
