1996 ford explorer sport
if anyone gets really involved with my plans (ideas) id like to put thier name or screen name on the vehicle for car shows and credit for helping

im looking for pictures of the rear quarter panels in a 99 explorer sport

reason
im building a mobile gaming center and im putting a genorator in the quarter panel but i dont have the truck just yet wanted to get started before i get it i was looking for pictures without the plastic panels

for more info on what im doing

im thinking this would work i dont want to make a lot of noise this is 60db and im looking at an extra external tank and an exhaust accessory so i could mount it in car any ideas here

new idea:
2000w honda generator with built in pure sine wave converter with extra 3gallon external gas tank and an accessory that makes an exhaust to outside so it can be mounted inside vehicle (thinking in quarter panels) and its only 60db

what im thinking:
i want to power a ps3/32inch vizio/phillips 180w surround sound/sony vaio laptop for around 12 hours

put all this stuff in a wooden box that had the ability to make the tv go in and out of it (thinking air power or electric motor not sure yet need help here)

i know im gonna need a gas gauge of some sorts

any ideas for this plan please i need opinions on this build i have a good start i want the box to be in the back where the hatch is and to design a couch for on the back of the back seats and when your driving to not be seen or as noticeable (contained in box)

it says it has a pure sine wave converter built in

You need to call Xzibit cause this ride is gonna be pimped out. Good luck and i'll be following this thread.

Yo dawg, I heard you liked bad jokes, so we put a bad joke in this bad joke so you can facepalm while you are facepalming.

Lol you guys crack me up pimp my ride couldn't handle my plans because it's removable and xzibit ain't got nothing on me cause it doesn't flash look at me I have money it will be all hidden when not in use and locked up :)

I was measuring things and its fining to be too tight from the tailgate to the back seat the seat that I would be making wouldn't have enough space to fold back up when not in use so I have to move the generator and extra gas tank any ideas here

I haven't measured from floor to roof yet the tv lift goes up to max 31.1 inches I could go with the smaller one of it doesn't work

Prices so far
Tv lift 1800.00
Generator 1000.00
Extra tank 120.00
Exhaust for generator 150.00

I will have to run exhaust out of truck so any ideas here don't want anything coming in life water out bugs it will be like a dryer vent buy I wanted to slim it down to say normal inch exhaust and extra gas tank easy to get to do I didn't have to remove it when refilling (don't really seeing that happen)

A fellow explorer fan said to use cedar wood I don't much about different kinds of wood I need info in that subject I can work with wood just don't know anything about the materials out does need to be light enough to lift with everything in it

its going to be a box that is sort of portable if you wasn't using it in truck you just plug it in say the bedroom and everything is ready to go

why not add a hitch receiver to it and have a custom lock box on a hitch made so you can store the generator and fuel tank in it. I think having a generator and fuel tank in the car would be a crazy fire hazard. You would be able to lock the box, ventilate it, lock the whole box to the car using a locking hitch pin or you could remove it when you don't plan on using it.

Here is my $0.02. I would remove the spare tire and mount the generator in its place, you can get remote panels for the generators so they can be mounted in the cargo area for easier access to the power plug, if your making this vehicle into a show truck you will probably have bigger better wheels on it so having the stock 15" spare wont due much good anyways. you can use the hole in the bumper for the pole to lower the spare tire for the starter pull string, might have to lengthen it a bit. Tie into the existing fuel line or if the pressure from the pump is to much just tap into the tank and put an external low pressure pump on the truck to run the generator. That way you eliminate a need for a second fuel tank, filling the tank is no problem what so ever, you have a fuel gauge already installed and there is no need to run any exhaust or cut holes in the vehicle. Although you may need to put a piece of pipe on it to direct the fumes to an area where they wont sneak into the rear cargo area. Only downside I am thing of at this time is how to protect the generator in that location. However I am sure something can be made to eliminate the road dirt/water and whatever else may be thrown at it in the elements.

Those are both good ideas maybe combine them put a box in place of the spare and make it easy access I don't want to cut into any factory fuel line out tank due to the fact that I want to be able to remove the system of needed so I would be adding a plastic tank pictured above

I'm buying the new truck in a week or 2 I will drop the spare and take pictures and design something I could maybe use the spares cable to lower and raise this box I will need to seal the bottom and vent the top maybe have a hole or two in bottom incase water would get in to prevent rust

Any ideas on making a box to use the stock spare cable I know it has that thing on the end how could I use that to make it nice and tight and not worry about it getting loose or dropping on its own

Thinking I would need to strap it to to keep it from swinging and as extra support
