Looking for ideas or examples of mods I could do with the goal being better storage organization and access to my tools(I do cabinetry/general carpentry). I have a 2002 explorer and ride around with a lot of tools in the back. My back seat stays folded down. I love all the room I have, but I know there's probably some cool mods others in my situation have done to better store/organize their tools so I'm looking for some ideas or pictures.

All I've thought of so far is running a 2x4 crossbar from the coat hangers so I can get my clamps up and out of the way.

Thanks!

It's might not be too useful for you for your purposes, but it gave me a lot of ideas for maximizing the space

I've seen stuff for pickup trucks where there are drawer systems that lay flat on the bed and can slide out on rollers. You could do something similar with drawers leaving a flat surface up top to set up power tools.

Do you mind hacking up the cargo side panels? If so that would get you... I dunno, a few cubic feet more space, but otherwise considering your trade, make an island of cabinets along the left, across, and the right side in an inverted U shape. In the middle of the U, a raised platform over a big pull out drawer.

Granted, filling all that, is going to potentially add a few hundred pounds of weight to the rear, might need a suspension upgrade.
