modified airbox, funny noise????

i just took the bottom part off my air box yesterday, and it was just fine. today it makes whistling when i press the gas only a little, any more than half an inch on the pedal and its fine, like its having trouble getting air, what the hell is that? its sounds kind of cool, almost like turbo, i just want to make sure nothing is wrong

The noise is just the engine trying to breathe. Not to worry.

trying to breathe? how come it didnt make the noise when the airbox was ON? i took it off to let it breathe!

but if you say not to worry, i wont!!!
