bumpy ride

hi scott. i have a question. i have a 2001 ford explorer sport which has an unusually bumpy ride. i bought it used and it only had 20,000 miles. i think the shocks might have gotten stiff because it hasn't been driven a lot. do you think that lubricating the shocks would solve the problem or should i get new shocks? if you can, please reply @ gillardo.n.alvaran@medtronic.com. thank you!
