So, my moonroof recently started to rattle from right above my head on the driver's side. Really annoying. I tried tightening the two nuts from the inside and the screw on the outside (all visable when it's in "cracked" mode) but with no luck. Any ideas?

2nd question: both seat have the inflatiable lumbar support. and in both seat, these no longer inflate. is there an easy or inexpensive fix? i am not mechanically inclined, bty ;)

THANKS!!!

For the sunroof, drop the headliner and odds are you'll find that either the entire assembly has worked its way loose, or the inner roof brace is rattling on the outer roof panel (as was the case in mine). There should be a piece fo foam rubber between the inner and outer brace. Over time, I guess it's possible that it might work its way out. (Mine was missing from the factory).

After taking the time to pull all the panels and drop the headliner, I suggest loc-tite on the bolts as to make sure this is the last time you'll have to do this project.

my dads explorers lumbar support button has bad contact, take off the panel that the buttons are on and try pushing and "shaking" the lumbar support button while pressing it, worked for me. alternately take the button apart and clean it. now my dads lumbar support is dead again but i havent had the time (10 minutes :D) to fix it again.

hope this helps!

Unfortunately, my Explorer has a manual knob, not a button. :(

Thanks to everyone for your advice on the moonroof. I'll give it a try this weekend.
