More horsepower?

I am considering capping off my egr valve due to the fact that I twisted the outlet tube from the manifold and I really dont feel like giving 140 bucks to the dealer and i cant find one used anywhere. Does anyone know exactly what I should cap off and is there a process for this. 2000 explorer 4.0 ohv. This all occured while doing upper intake gasket and going through all my sensors.Also, is there something I can do to my throttle body to boost intake?

EGR lowers combustion temp

EGR lowers the combustion temperature in the cylinders extending valve and piston life.

I understand that street but I am doing a swap out in about 3 months so, should I be worried. I went ahead and did the capping and everything seems to be well. I am going to put the egr tube ass. back together as soon as I find a reasonable deal or I am going to make one myself. I do preciate street.

short term probably OK

Running without EGR for a few months should not result in significant service life reduction. Since the OHV V6 has no knock sensor try to avoid detonation.

How bout this! I changed my wires about a month ago and was wondering why my wires were so long and i went back and looked at the box today and found out that "they " gave me wires for an ohc. everything seems to be fine but is it?
