Howdy folks,

About a year ago my wifes 2016 Explorer Platinum 3.5l had a transfer case detonate and it broke some brackets and the ears off the transaxle. The shop cost to repair was way out of our budget so it set for a bit and I got to work on it (to make my sons first vehicle).

Picked up a use transfer case on evil bay, welded the broken ears on the transaxle and tore it apart/put it back together..

Thing is running good drives good but seems like a whole slew of electrical issues have presented themselves that were not there before.

1. A/C does not work, clutch will not engage.
2. Horn doesn't work (in fact no controls on the steering wheel work).

Could be a clockspring and the clutch went bad while sitting but just curious if anyone would see this and go ohh you probably didn't do "X" when reassembling or something to that effect.

I've checked all the fuses, swapped relays (how I realized the horn wasnt working). Just seems liek an odd sequence of events all of these things worked before this was put back together.

Thanks for any insights!

I connected a scanner to the system and this is definitely more than just some A/C issue but a larger electrical issue. The scan shows that I basically only have a few modules on the vehicle

Says the only modules in the vehickle are:

Accessory Protocol Interface Module (APIM)
Body Control Module (BCMII)
Parking Aid Module (PAM)
Powertrain Control Module (PCM)

All of the other modules (HVAC, ABS, ACM, ATCM, among like 20 others show not equipped now).
