MY 1996 explorer has a bad lifter noise tapping on start up when hot, towards the front.
Then goes away in five minutes but it sounds like a diesel rattle.
It's not the normal timing chain noise untill the oil gets there, and the motor running fine.
My motor is the 4.0lit sohc automatic with 120000km on the clock,any help would be great as Ford Australia is usless.
