MSD Ignition Amplifier and Sparkplug Wires: Do I need them?

Truckperformance.com has the Taylor 8mm Spiro Pro Spark Plug set for $47 (claimed 5hp/5tq increase). They also have the MSD 5 Ignition Amplifier for $102 (claimed 10hp/10tq increase). My question is that ... Is the horse power and torque increase true especially for our Explorers? And are they worth buying?

I've read a mix comments about this.
I have a 98 X Sport OHV 67,000 miles.

The stock ignition is quite good, there is no need to replace it.

As for the wires, replacement might be useful for yiu.
