Not sure where to ask this.

I've got a '02 Limited. It therefor has the factory running boards. I'd like to add some mud flaps front and back. I don't drive off-road and only use the 4x4 for snow. I'd like to keep the truck cleaner.

Anyone have any experience they would like to share, and sources for some decent mud flaps for the X?

I made some for my Mazda3 out of a black rubbermaid garbage can, but would like to do a bit better by my Explorer. :D

Why don't you get ford ones? I like them because they look like they belong as compared to the aftermarket ones.

I'll check. My guess is that the cost is going to more than I want to spend.

Check www.fordaccessoriesstore.com

I found my little trailer hitch plug there and it was very reasonable. They even offered a free gift with every order. I got a free leather cleaning kit...It was probably worth more than the hitch plug!

I bought some generic ones for about $8 a pair - does not help that much to keep the truck clean. I noticed the running board gets very dirty, in FRONT of the BACK wheels, opposite to where the flaps are. Also the the sides of the back doors get very dirty.
Go figure!
