Ok, so I'm about to move up to 33's after I get my body lift on. I'm stuck between Dunlop Mud Rovers and Sport King M/T's, which are a local tire shop's private BFG line. The Dunlops are only $20 less in total cost (mounted and balanced, everything), so I could get either tire. I've heard some good things about the Mud Rovers and the reviews on Tire Rack are pretty good, but I haven't seen many people running Sport Kings. So, I'd like some opinions, suggestions, or comments on both to aid me in my decision. Thanks in advance.

Aren't the sport kings the ones that have a tread design similar to super swampers?
Anyway, I would go with those.

Well I did a little research, and if I'm looking at the right tires, the shop told me the wrong name. The m/t version of the sport king is the Mud King. So I guess that's what they were talking about. Anyway, from the pictures, they do look similar to a Super Swamper M/T.

Yes, the m/t version is the mud king. I had the sport kings....a/t version and they were great! I got about 30,000 miles on them when I sold my explorer and I still had about half tread left on a 32x11.50x15 tire.

Sweet....Yeah after digging around on this site and on the internet, I'm definitely leaning towards the Mud Kings. Plus the fact that they're made by BFG helps a lot.

Have U Looked At The Kumto Venture Mt They Are Nice.

Yes I have, that was my other choice. But Sears is the only place in town that carries them and they quoted me almost $700 for a set of 33's. Anyway, my bubble has officially been burst. I just got back from the tire shop to order the Mud Kings. The guy realized he was talking about the A/T Sport Kings instead of the M/T Mud Kings, so I got the wrong quote. He said it would be about $65 more for the Mud Kings. Now I'm starting to lean towards the Mud Rovers because they're so much cheaper.

I am looking for tires but in 31s. I was looking at the Mud Rovers b/c I could get them for about $90. So far though from what I have read, the Mud Rovers don't get very good mileage. So I am leaning towards either Kumho M/T or the Maxxis Buckshot Mudders.

Be prepared to pay for the Kumho's. It's really weird, on the The Tire Rack, the Mud Rovers and Venture M/T's are only $2 apart, yet in town to get a set mounted and balanced are about $150 different. Anyway, I'm probably about to go order the Mud Rovers from Sam's.

I am getting a deal through my dad's work so I can get the Kumho's for around $90 each, mounted and balanced.

Yeah that's a nice deal. I ended up going with the Mud Rovers and am very pleased with them. Good tires.

the Firestone and Bridgestone MT's are pretty good

Yes but also mucho $$$

Hopefully Sams will warrant the tires. They told me my tires were void of warranty when I took 2 of them in with unrepairable damage. They said I had no right to the warranty since "I chose to use a larger diameter flotation tire, that shouldn't have been used on my truck" i told them that they are "certified tire installers" and should have known better. They refused warranty. I refused to leave, and not cause a scene. As my volume, and vulgarity increase(as well as the line of people waiting, since I wouldn't even leave the line)they got more and more understanding. I left with 2 new tires.

I have used the Mud Kings in the past and liked them. They are also called Regul MT's sometimes..... its the same tire with the exact same tread pattern..... dont know whats up with that. Anyhoo, damn good cheap MT and they work better in mud than the Dunlop MR's in my opinion.
