Muffler mod question

Can anybody give me a direct replacement muffler brand and part number for a 2000 explorer 4 door v6 sohc x-vin number.
My mod on replacing it Iam asking is one of the pipes from cat to muffler looks like its flanged Can I cut that pipe and couple together instead of touching flange at all
