So, I have a few issues that I believe could be addressed by the EF Community and the amazing depth of knowledge available here. So, here's the story...
I have a 2001 Explorer Sport, 4x4 (and I LOVE it!), but i've been noticing more and more spots on the driveway. I finally went under and cleaned everything off to see where the leaks were coming from and discovered three different fluids (neat, huh?)

I have transmission fluid leaking from an unknown location, but not enough to have EVER added fluid (and I check it regularly). More of a convenience fix for this one.

I have a leak in my transfer case and can see exactly where it's leaking from (through the seal in the middle). Do I really need to take it apart to reseal that, or can I clean it up enough to squirt some RTV into the seam and be done with it?

Lastly, I have a pinion seal leak from my front diff. How much is this to get fixed, as I don't have the expertise to do it myself?

Thanks :)

Unknown location on the transmission....hmm, just wanna make sure it wouldn't be coming from your transfer case and running down to it somehow? If not, keep looking! :D Could be something as easy as a pan gasket?? and hey, when's the last time you changed your transmission fluid anyways?

Transfer case.. yes, I would take it apart. If it's minor, you could use your idea until you had a free day to do the real repair.

Front diff leak: I would get a quote from a repair shop ;)

Do you have a repair manual for your vehicle? They come in mighty handy.

The transmission fluid was changed back when I got a new transmission about 30,000 miles ago. A pan gasket wouldn't be all that bad. I'll keep looking for the source of the leak...I do hope it's just splash from the T-Case though, that would be rather nice--no tranny fix required.

Ok, I guess I'll be taking the t-case apart sometime when I have time...hmmmm (hits "Search" feature)

Yeah, quote....I might just monitor fluid levels and add fluid until I get the ok from the wife to do a gear change and get the rebuild along with it...

Thanks for the help!
