Every day on my way to work I coast down a 3-4 mile long hill at 60mph. halfway down it seems as if something holds the truck from going any faster or even looses speed. My friend says his 97' Towncar does the same thing. Anybody experience this or know what it is?

Is there a way to get rid of this? It kind of annoys me.

Mine does this too. It'll coast for a while, then it will begin to engine brake. Only thing I can think of is to kick it into neutral.

I hear that putting it in neutral when coasting is hard on the tranny. Not enough fluid flow. But, that's just what I hear, I don't know.

I throw it up in neutral sometimes - it's real smooth.
