My 2002 Explorer can't shift out of park.

I have a 2002 explorer it wont shift outta park It has the brake-shift interlock
I can use the override to get it outta gear I checked all the fuses but not relays my rear brake lights also dont light up can any one help me?

Brake light switch, on the top of your brake pedal ...
fairly easy process , you can change it yourself..

Welcome to this forum! I've renamed your thread, and moved it into the stock 2002-2005 section. I agree that it sounds like it's related to a bad brake switch.
