My 95 Explorer Is Dead At A Gas Station..help!

The inertia switch is over on the floor in front passenger area by the firewall. You'll need to pull the carpet back a bit to get to it. Make sure that the electrical plug on the bottom of it is tight. When it doesn't start, you need to listen for the fuel pump priming for a second or two, when you turn the key to the ON position, but don't crank it. If you don't hear the pump run, then it's a fuel delivery problem. Also, when it won't start, try banging (or maybe kicking) the fuel tank. If it then starts, then that's an indication that it could be an intermittent fuel pump problem.

Could this be?

Could my battery be a problem here? It was purchased in September of 2003. There is a little corrosion on the positive terminal. Would this cause the car to not start all of the time? I'm just trying to rule out the minor stuff before I move on to the fuel pump. Yesterday I replaced the fuel pump relay and added Seafoam to the fuel tank to unclog the fuel filter and clean the injectors.
