Well after 10 years of ownership and 301k miles (I put 90k on it) my 95 xlt didn't pass inspection due to rust. The rear shackles are shot. They look like swiss cheese. Also the bracing underneath the body is like swiss cheese also. The passenger rocker panel is rotted out to the middle of the doors. Any ideas on how to get rid of it. Due to the problems I am kinda leery on doing a FSBO. I thought about parting it out because the trans only had 75k on the rebuild and I do have some good parts but that is a lot of work.

You can try and craigslist it in the parts section, maybe get 400 for it, or drive it to the junkyard/scrapyard get your no-hassle $250 and be done with it.

She's dying of cancer..put her out of her misery..you owe her that!
But if her heartbeat is still strong put on some new shackles and get out the bondo!

If you want to see the good parts find a new home , Put it on Craigslist for part out , But Post on the ad that the buyer must remove parts , or pay a fee if you remove the part , I helped my buddy part out his F-150 that way and he made more off it in the end than he paid for it 2 years before and 80K miles later ..

hey man im like 30 mins from you. ill buy it if youd take like 300-350. i have the cash. i need parts for my 98 explorer, mostly lookin to do an interior swap. send me a PM.

We'll I took it to the junkyard today. I got $426 for it. This was my first car. Over 10 years of ownership and 90k miles. At least I still have the 06 XLT but it still isn't the same. Now I am looking to buy another 2nd gen in the future kinda like the one I had.

That's a nice round number (eye roll) did the junkyard pay you by the pound for it?

Bill

yes it was 4240 lbs
