I'm in the process of installing all of this (it will probably be a month or more before i'm done, i don't get much free time).
The 3 subs are going into boxes I've almost finished that fit behind the 3rd row seat in my 02 (not much room back there but they fit). I also need to find good places to mount my 4 amps (can't be behind the 3rd seat, can't be on the floor... don't know where :) ). I can probably fit the 2 smaller amps under the 2nd row seats. I'm thinking about mounting the other 2 behind the interior panels (one of them were the stock sub is). The only downside to that is I won't be able to change the settings as often as I normally do. What do you guys think? Any ideas or tips?

maybe nobody will call you a ricer here....

I think it looks good, want to see the finished product....

LOL, I was just thinking of that. Dude, screw that guy that started that. I think that if you set it up right it will be fine! I have always wanted to do the same thing. But never did since I was always told it would not work. I hope it does work for you.

Besides the system will sound great and look even better.

I didn't go with screens because I don't have that kind of money. I got most of that stuff through cheap online stores (half or more off retail). Also installing them would be close to doubling the current about of work I'll have to do for the install(which I already dread). I always have bad luck with installs and have to wait for parts to come in the mail, etc. All of the audio shops around here charge CRAZY prices especially for install equipment.

As for the Clarion deck, I like it... but it seems that the highs are really enhanced (almost too much?). I'd be interested in trying out some of the other top-line head units from alpine or some other company to see if it emphasized a better mid-range sound. The timing-adjustment feature is really interesting once I figured out how to use it. You can't really tell what difference you are making, but you can tell that IS different. With the right adjustments I got my subs to hit EXACTLY on time even with fast techno-like beats(they had trouble keeping up before) and I made the sound MUCH fuller.

that should be awesome, audiobahn rules!

However i might add, the 8 inch subs, make sure their frequency starts around the max frequency of your 15. Or you could experiece poor sound. I figure you know that but just thought i'd throw it in

thats going to be a challenge- i've run 15s and 8s together before but never with both of them in the rear like that.

and never without more control equalizer and crossover wise than you will have. with my system i used the 8" for watching movies and the 15s primarily the rest of the time (they just had to be turned way down to make movies work)

i can't wait to see pics- i hope you got great deals on everything and it all goes smoothly!

are there any special plans for the install? or are you pretty much just throwing it all back there/in the factory holes?

I will use high pass crossover on the Head unit and low pass cross over on the amp to restrict the 8" woofer's playing range. I will set the low pass crossover on the amp for the 15" to pick up where the 8" leaves off. The frequencies from the different size subs is not a concern to me. My only concern is where I'm going to mount the amps.

As for install.. I'm thinking tweeters either replacing or going under the defrost vents on the dash. The 5.25" and plate speakers will go in the stock locations. All the subs fit behind the 3rd row seat. As for all my wiring, the 4 amps, and the 2 caps(which i forgot to mention).. I still need to think of where all that will go but i'm being lazy :o

if u switched over to the same quality and output but buy a different brand u would have the money for screens =0 j.k lol

Some of the Audiobahn amps have a sub-frequnecy cut-off... with those 8"s you are really going to want something like that... just a though.

That looks like a nice setup!

I have an '02 limited and am thinking of going with aux inputs to the in dash 6CD changer. If you still have the radio you pulled out can you do me a favor? Is there a round unused connector on the back? Also what is the model number of the radio?

Better yet if you could post a picture of the front and rear it would be most appreciated!
