my car turn off when i set on the cruise control

Can somebody help me, my explorer 2005 4.6 v8 turn the engine off when i set on my cruise control, it used to happen when turn on the cruise at low speed. it is a mess when you take the turnpike

Anyone have a solution for this? This has happened on my 2005 4.0, too.
