whats up everyone.... I lost my old ex in a flood last year, and got this 2001 cavalier... anyways
Coming home from a dbdrag friday night, I was approaching a turn, and a deer booked in front of me from the right.. I still dont know if I hit it or not? It all felt like it happened in .00025 seconds... So I slammed on the brakes, tried to steer away, and I think the brakes locked up? I dunno, but I just slid forward into an upward embankment, and for some reason, instead of just smashing into it, possibly killing me and my g/f, the cav went up the bank and stopped! Thank god for airbags and seatbelts though, It was a rough ride, the bank was like this \ ....
Well the cav is possibly totalled, I dunno, I'm still hurting a little, but I was able to walk away, as was my g/f, she just has a bum ankle, not broke though, and we both have reminders on our chests that the seatbelts were there..... Welp I dunno whats gonna happen from here, I wasn't speeding or anything, so I dunno if I'll get a ticket for anything or not? I'm expecting higher insurance rates already though, this is my 1st accident, and I'm almost 21....
So if anybody thinks a cav isn't a super safe car, maybe there are better out there, but mine did its job, otherwise I wouldn't be here...
Maybe I'll have to get another explorer if the cav is totalled, I'm thinkin a nice 2 door with a sohc/auto....
