My Sport was supposed to have been delivered to my dealer on February 2-4 but around 3:00 pm yesterday I received a call from my salesman that my Sport was at the dealer and they were putting on the mud flaps, wheel locks and preparing the car in case I wanted to pick it up last night. Well let me tell you that I have not even finished talking to my salesman when I was on my way to the dealer to pick up my beautiful White-Tri Coat Explorer Sport.
I took some pictures with my Iphone while at the dealer and I will be posting them here later on .
My first driving experience while driving the Sport from the dealer in New Jersey to my home in New York have been nothing short of being very impressed with the performance and tight feel of this beauty compare to my 2012 Explorer Limited. Nothing to take away from the Limited. I have been very happy with it. The only thing I was missing was the power that the Sport has. What a difference!! All you need to do is tap on the gas pedal and you are taking off!!
Don't get me wrong. I didn't go pass 65 because I know the Sport is new and I want to be very careful breaking in the engine but what I am saying is that when you need to pass another car all you need to do is gently tap on the gas pedal and the Sport will not disappoint you, in fact it will impress you.
I will be installing a few accessories in the next week or so and I will posting pictures of the Sport "before" and "after" to see the difference that accessories can make on the look of the Sport.
I will like send a very special "Thank You" to Crystal (Ford Rep here at the forum) for all her help and weekly updates on my Sport. You are a blessing here to all of us at the forum and we all thank you for your wonderful help and assistant. You make our wait for any Explorer model extra special. Thank you so much!!
Best regards to all,
Carlos
