My Explorer Doesnt like the K&N Filter, why ?

the X's, rangers, and bII's are not similar, of not the same as broncos or mustangs? the 5.0 motors have perfect intake systems stock. you could only really get a better filter.

The Ford stock intake really is a joke. I don't know about the 5.0, but I assume that it's similar to the 4.0 SOHC in my truck -- it's designed to be as quiet as possible, at the expense of decent airflow.

well do you have a 5.0? i do, and i can say from looking at it before, and now, it was choked by the airbox. the stock airbox breether hole was the width of a dollar bill. now youre honestly telling me that is sufficient for air flow? maybe for a ho**a's 4 banger motor...shal i remind you the 5.0 is 302 ci and 1.6 is 97.6 ci....hm
