1996 explorer xlt 4wd
i just purchased a 96 explorer xlt 4x4. it has 242000 miles on body but just recently had engine and transmission replaced from another 96 with 41000 miles. It also has new suspension, tires and brakes. rear wiper does not work.
i wanted to find out if there is a way to adjust the gas and brake pedal. I am 5-10 and it is a stretch with power seat forward all the way, my wife is 4-11 and she wont be able to reach pedals.

i have ordered an owners manual, this is high optioned suv

Owners Manual minimum amount of book to have. Gat a Ford Shop Manual, if ypou expect to do any of your own work.

We had a '96 w/power seats. I am 5'-8", no problem at all, wife is 5'-1", ran seat forward and up, she reached pedals OK. You could extend both by fastening extensions to them. imp
