:D

I've forgotten to close mine before.. but not during the rainy season! :D

That sure is original thinkin:D

:D HAHA....its all good, dont worry:D

If I were you I would drive it to a carwash place tomorrow and see if you can use one of those foamer vacuums to clean it, then use a normal vacuum there to pull as much moisture outta the fabric... when mine got waterlogged (broken window seal in the rear) I did that to keep it from stinkin, and it worked.
Good luck, and that is some original thinkin.

I used a heavy duty wet dry vac earlier today...there's just some parts I can't reach with that vaccuum that have a hair of a dampness feel to them. Hopefully the constant airflow will evaporate some of it.

don't worry, a gust of wind caught mine in the front and lifted it off the hinges and i just barely grabbed it before it flew off and landed in the road

Mine was tilted (not all the way open but the back raised up) during finals week last week. It definately went through 2 monsoons where parts of campus flooded and there were ducks outside my dorm (no joke) with the rear of the glass tilted. Luckily, the rain didn't fall directly in, and it appears that most of the water was diverted by the channels. When I get back from Switzerland (May 23rd) i'll probably pull out the seats and clean the carpets and use some sort of anti stink stuff... It actually doesn't really stink in there ~ can't say as much for my camping gear from the weekend...

lol that reminds me. my friend had his open after it snowed and he hit the breaks and free snowballs in the cab. hope it works out for ya.

Is the rear cargo area wet at all? If it is, you better rip up the carpet fast....The underlay can mold pretty quickly.

1) I had no idea that anyone actually owned 2 fans like that. :D
2) Is that the best place for the extension cord reel?
3) Get ready for wet a$$. You know how you sit on some surfaces thinking that they are dry, then when you get up, you are all wet?

Good Luck Tho! I have been there before.

been there...left my moonroof completely back in my contour one day with all the windows open in the middle of a storm...all i can say is than god for leather seats in that car. my moonroof in the ex has a nice feature where it automatically closes all the way when the vehicle shuts off so that i can't forget. and, yes, if i want i can disable it but rarely do i leave the truck open.

I'm in your boat man...

I did the SAME thing last night. Got up this morning, the cupholders were full of water, seats saturated, the works. I don't have quite the same setup, but my dad has two big floor fans. I have one in the front, one in the back.

Sucks huh?

I kind of lucked out. My ex was for the most part level and it seemed to settle on the floormats behind the driver and passenger seats (2 door). Must of that got sucked out with the vac. There wasn't any standing water...just a dampness. Everything seems to be drying out fairly well except for the radio :( . I have a post in Audio about that problem though. It happened yesterday morning and I had to drive back home 2 miles to Cleveland from OSU in Columbus with what would appear to be a severe case of swamp ass caused by the wet seats. Luckily they were just damp...not sloshy wet if you know what I mean. I'm keeping my fingers crossed now, but it appears everything will be ok.

what is this auto close function you speak of?? I want it!!!!

sorry, i think i forgot to mention...aftermarket sunroof ($636!). but you could probably set one up with a relay. i think i am the only person with a 1st gen with a power roof that i know of.... the factory only offered manual pop-up roofs.

Oh crap!! I forgot to shut my moonroof!! Oh wait...it's parked in the garage. :D:p

Lol, I am lucky enough to have my own garage bay at home, but this kid's frat house didn't have one ;)

Ha - careful of that garage, I normally park outside, but kick my sister out of the garage to work. I left the roof open one day, only to find the garage roof started leaking!!!!

Luckily, I was able to close the roof before much of the nasty water came in.
