my sport trac pictures before tires and after!

they are johnny joints. my first idea was to do a heim but the heim is too skinny so to speak. so we installed johnny joints and boxed it in. we had to drill out the holes to the spindles and shave them a little bit so if at full bump or full droop it wouldnt contact the cup of the a arm. it was a lot of work but well worth it. i dont have a hoop connected to the engine as i ran out of money. it is on my list though. right now the top of my list is purchase some lift spindles so i can take preload off of my springs. then get 14" springs. then rebuild the bumps because they are leaking fluid and air.

Looks like an FOA bumpstop? Ya, those will leak.

Oh wow... Im a noob. Now i see the dates. And I coulda sworn you had. Sorry bout that

yeahhh they do. really bad. BUT on the brighter side i got them for like 200 bucks or so with bumps and cans which isnt bad. some $15 rebuild kits and ill be good to go

no problem lol i looked at your post and i was like what in the world is he talking about?! then i looked back and i saw the cladding and i was like ohhhhhh then i just had to say it lol

Dont worry I did a face palm for you lol. Worst part is its even in your signature. By the way how are you liking the new setup?

i like it a lot. knowing that i dont have to worry about bottoming my shocks out is definitely a relief. it does ride stiff right now just because i have a lot of preload on the springs. i think id be really happy with it when i get limit straps, the bumps rebuilt, and spindles. it sits about 3/4" lower than it used to because i had to take preload off of the spring. You arent really supposed to have preload on the springs at all but i had to or else i wouldnt be able to steer. so if im gonna take my truck up to gulches, im not gonna wheel it or i could wheel it but take the fenderliner out and the front bumper lol.

Those are both easy! lol Like Offtrac said you can just hop in with one of us instead though and just make the easy drive to the site.

yeah its not but like an hour out for me. BUT i do wanna flex the truck out and see how much the truck droops now. well maybe i shouldnt because i dont even have limit straps.
