Hey everyone, my name is Luke and I just bought my 97 explorer a month ago. I unfortunatly bought the truck with a few problems. I need some help if anyone can help. Please resond to this post or feel free to email me. I would appreciate any help i can get. My tempature gauge stays on cold. I replaced the tempature sending unit, which is on the left side on the engine...if your infront of the engine. Can you tell me is that the correct location of the temp unit, and if not what else could i do to get the temp gauge to work again.
Thanks,
Luke

Tstat might be out. Might not hurt to change that out easy and quick to do. There are two lines on the passenger side that are red and kinda small wiggle those around and see what happens.

Welcome to the site btw

thx

Thanks I changed the t-stat, and the gauge works fine now...man oh man the t-stat looked factory. It was so jacked up.
Thanks again.
Luke
