My wife was parked, started the SUV, placed it in reverse. She said the SUV lunged forward. Now the transmission will not engage in any gear.
It will go in and out of park, reverse lights work, but nothing else.
No strange noise, just like the transmission in in neutral in all gears.

I have read over most all of the threads....nothing seems to match.
Where should I start to look for the problem?

Thanks everyone.

Ditto.
If the transmission is more than 2 quarts low, this is exactly what happens.

Perfect fluid level ok, still no response from the trans.
Looks like my next stop is the dealership.

Did this ever get figured out I'm dealing with this issue myself and truly cannot afford to go to the dealership
