Came across the fuel pump gasket leak today on my 94. Im thinking about selling it? What price do you think i can sell it for? Or keep it?

In family original owner....

Miles 147,000 manual hubs, 1994 Limited 4 out 5 factory options ; CD Player JBL , moon roof, tow package, block heater. Very clean inside, above avg. body for a MN suv...

I can fix alot of problems with my Explorer, but dropping tank or cutting above the fuel pump Ive read about, really is above my skill level. Does anybody know what the cost would be?

Problems with it:
Ac is out...condenser has leak
Fuel pump gasket leak

I will say tho I do have alot of original parts on the suv still...

Problems ive fixed over the years on my X have been common ones on this forum over the years..

Can you post pictures? I'm just out in Annandale, and was just thinking of getting another explorer if it has little rust.

Why sell it? It's old, paid for......
I'll keep mine up as long as I can. Insurance is cheap.

It's perfect as a backup car for if mine or my wife's is down.

I agree..... Now just trying to see what problem is?

I think you could reasonably ask $700 maybe even $1200 if you are willing to wait for the right buyer, but I would personally keep it. That's in great shape, best one I've seen from this state. Its a too nice for me. I'm looking for a bare bones manual windows, no frills one. Best for me would be one with a blown tranny so I can put my manual tranny in a 4 door. I'm probably going to trailer one from down south.

I would keep it, we buy stuff that is worse then that around here, dropping the tank is not that hard i did mine in about an hour and a half, you don't even need to remove the fuel lines to replace the gasket, cant be that much for a mechanic to do it ?, no way i would let it go.

If I were anywhere close to your place, I'd take it out of your hands right away.

I wish mine was in that shape.
